Creativity has always come naturally to Sydney. Growing up in a graphic design household—with a studio, endless craft supplies, and Adobe programs at her fingertips—it was only a matter of time before she followed in her mom’s footsteps and found her own passion for visual design.

Now a Graphic Design Intern here at Dearing Group and a student at Purdue University, Sydney brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every project she touches. Whether she’s designing in the lab at Purdue or bouncing ideas around with Team DG, she’s all in—eager to grow, learn and contribute to purposeful, polished work.

Q&A with Sydney

What would people be surprised to know about you? 
I think people are most shocked when they find out I am an identical twin- she doesn’t go to Purdue, so most people don’t know.

What is your most embarrassing moment?
I was in diving in high school. In a competition, I smacked completely horizontal on the water and nearly hit the diving board (missed it by a couple of inches). The audience gasped. A judge had to look away. I got a score of 0.

What talent do you most wish you had?
Singing! I would be so annoying if I could sing.

What is the best vacation you have ever taken?
I went on a study abroad trip that took me to Paris, London, and Brussels. Seeing beautiful works of art so close was life-changing.
