While studying Public Relations and Strategic Communication at Purdue University, Emily discovered her passion for content development.

Whether it’s a press release, website or communication plan, Emily makes ideas unfold into strategic, compelling stories, pulling in audiences and conveying brand-centric messages. She believes the cornerstone of a great brand is authenticity and works to convey clients’ unique voices in every project she works on.

When she’s not at Dearing Group, Emily serves on the board for Tippecanoe County Council on Aging and mentors students at her alma mater.

Quick Q&As with Emily:

List 3 words that describe you.
Caring, witty and dedicated.

What words of wisdom changed your life?

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead

These words resonate with me for so many reasons. For one, it’s the very notion our nation was built upon. But I also see it play out in the work our clients do and the energy in DG’s office. When we invest in the people around us and set our minds to a mission, there is nothing we can’t accomplish.

Who is someone you admire?
I really admire my parents. They exemplify how to care for others and invest in your family and community. They always show up and put in the work, and that’s the kind of person I hope to be.

People would be surprised if they knew:
I’m a huge race fan. IndyCar, F1, dirt track, you name it.

What is the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
I spent a winter in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 90 degree weather and sunny beaches were a nice alternative to Indiana’s chilliness!
