Emily Blue
Media Director
A 2003 graduate of Purdue University, Emily has worked at the agency since January 2005. Incredibly industry-savvy and versatile, she started in the position of Copywriter before her attention to detail made her the perfect candidate to take over media buying duties. As Media Director, she is responsible for media researching, planning, placing and tracking for all agency clients, and as Production Manager, Emily oversees the path toward completion for every Dearing Group project.
In addition to her work at Dearing Group, Emily also teaches a course in advertising at Purdue University. Each semester, she takes about 25 students through a real-life case study where they work on developing a strategic marketing plan in support of a local nonprofit organization.
Emily is active in the community, volunteering her time and talents to various organizations. She serves as President of the American Advertising Federation – North Central Indiana. She's also on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette (and is a volunteer "Big Sis") and sits on the Purdue Alumni Liberal Arts Volunteer Board. Additionally, Emily is a Deacon for Immanuel United Church of Christ and an alumna of Alpha Phi Omega (a national co-ed service fraternity).
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and watching Purdue Athletics and the Chicago Cubs. She resides in Lafayette with her husband, Rob, and two cats, Josie and Mack.
