Web / Mobile Apps Guru (Full-Time)

Position Overview

Dearing Group has a full time opening for a creative, technically gifted individual with a burning passion for both website design / development AND mobile application development. The ideal candidate should be equally savvy at executing front-end design or configuring content‑management systems as they are designing / developing engaging mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.

General Responsibilities

  • Undertake website and mobile app planning, strategy, visioning, analysis and estimating
  • Perform UI and page design for websites (desktop / mobile) and mobile apps
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing associated milestones and due dates
  • Execute web and mobile programming, implementation and maintenance functions
  • Present ideas to and work directly with clients on web and mobile-related projects
  • Perform client-training and tech-support
  • Manage complex web-related and mobile app projects from start to finish
  • Develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
  • Interface websites, web applications and mobile applications
  • Engage in agency strategy, brainstorming and branding sessions

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Graphics, web-related Computer Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Portfolio of completed websites or web applications to demonstrate capabilities
  • At least one mobile app in Mac App Store or Android Market
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, and verbal and written communications skills
  • Expert in CSS, JavaScript (jQuery or equivalent), HTML
  • Experience with one or more of the following: PHP, Apache configurations, Unix-based permissions, MySQL and third-party API implementations
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java (Android development), Objective-C (iOS SDK), HTML5/CSS/JS (Titanium or equivalent), PHP and MySQL (or equivalent)
